January 29, 2015 — Optech is pleased to announce that the Optech Innovative Lidar and Imaging Solutions Conference (ILSC) 2015 website has gone live, and industry professionals can now submit papers to the conference’s technical sessions, and register to attend the conference and its workshops.
Taking place on June 9-12 in the heart of Toronto, ILSC 2015 is a forum for the entire remote sensing community to share the latest applications, techniques, and best practices for lidar and imaging technologies. This year’s technical sessions will focus on learning the latest surveying and mapping techniques, achieving a more efficient survey workflow, and expanding into new applications with Optech sensors. For more hands-on learning, survey operators and post-processors can also register to attend the conference workshops on airborne, mobile and static surveying. Professional trainers will lead workshop attendees through planning, executing and processing a survey using methods that help drive down costs and complexity while improving their data accuracy.
Speaking of his experience at ILSC 2013, Merrick & Company LiDAR/ Imaging Technical Lead Josh Nimetz said that he “appreciated the networking time with senior Optech personnel and contemporaries in the industry”. Likewise, COO of US Imaging, Inc. Researchers and industry professionals using imaging and laser scanning technology are invited to submit 150-word abstracts to the conference website on leading-edge techniques or examples of best practices they have used with Optech laser or camera technology. The deadline for abstract submission is March 18, 2015, and the accepted abstracts will be announced by April 15, 2015.
