September 21, 2015 — Teledyne Optech is pleased to announce that NM Group (Network Mapping Inc) will provide informative talks featuring the Optech Orion at the Electrical Transmission & Substation Structures (ETS) Conference in Branson, MO from Monday, September 28 to Thursday, October 1. The Optech Orion will also be on display at the NM Group booth 402 and during the outdoor show.
NM Group experts will explain the technology behind the Optech Orion ALTM (Airborne Laser Terrain Mapper) and the advantages it provides for powerline studies. NM Group will present information covering Aerial Lidar, what’s inside the box, and how to ensure that it is configured optimally for T-line ratings analysis, up-rating, new build, ROW and vegetation management studies. The in-depth talks will include factors affecting the quality and efficiency of airborne lidar surveys, including the impact of scan pattern and scan angle, and the pros and cons of installing the sensor on a tilted mount. Whether you are already experienced with airborne lidar and want to improve your technique or are just looking into what airborne lidar can do for you, NM Group can advise you based on their years of experience using Optech Orions for T-line and other corridor surveys.
Visitors interested in hearing more about data capture techniques for T-line applications should visit NM Group’s booth 402 and can contact them beforehand at [email protected]. Find out more about Orion and other airborne systems at www.teledyneoptech.com.
