Arithmetica says that the new version of its automated point cloud processing software “is designed for professional users with high volume workflows and provides a fast, precise, yet flexible way of converting laser-scanned point clouds into highly accurate vector models.”
Notably, the software offers batch and simultaneous processing options.
The launch of the software at SPAR Europe 2014 will also mark the first time that interested users can download an evaluation version of the Pointfuse Pro software from Arithmetica’s website. According to the company, this version will allow “for the production of 3D models for use further down the workflow in third party software.”
In a statement, Mark Senior, Pointfuse Development Manager, said “In order for potential users to evaluate the capability of Pointfuse Pro, they need to understand how it will fit into their existing workflows, which is why we are offering an exclusive fourteen day evaluation version. With an unrestricted number of converts from point cloud to vector model during this period, and up to tend 3D and 2D model exports, Pointfuse Pro Evaluation allows potential customers to get a real feel for the power of Pointfuse Pro and its impact on their point cloud processing and model production.”
The software quickly converts very large point cloud data sets generated by laser scanners or photogrammetry into high fidelity vector models. Specifically designed for engineers, architects, and construction professionals, the software creates vector models that that can be manipulated using any industry-standard CAD system.
Arithmetica plans to follow the launch of Pointfuse Pro with additional processing modules in 2015. Look for more information as SPAR Europe continues.
