October 9, 2014 — Optech is pleased to announce that it is joining the Canadian Pavilion at the RISCON Security and Safety Trade Expo in Japan on October 15-17, 2014, where it will be showcasing the latest remote sensing solutions for the Japanese security and disaster response industry.
At the Expo, Optech will introduce the newly released ALTM Galaxy airborne lidar sensor to a Japanese audience. Flexible and ultra-compact, Galaxy is ideal for planning and disaster response as it provides rapid and consistently accurate 3D mapping and surveying over varying terrain and altitudes by leveraging the power of PulseTRAKTM technology. Co-mounted with Optech’s CS-series of RGB, MWIR, and LWIR cameras on either gyro-stabilized, static, or heli-pod mounts, Galaxy provides a customizable collection platform with a single integrated workflow. Meanwhile, Optech Flight Management Suite (FMS) provides a real-time point cloud display for in-air analysis and quality assurance, and can generate LAS files on the fly for immediate delivery upon landing in emergency situations.
Perfect for efficiently covering larger areas of the coast, Optech CZMIL is the most award-winning and validated airborne bathymetric mapping system, reaching 80 m deep in clear conditions and outperforming other sensors in shallow, turbid waters. The HydroFusion automated workflow fuses CZMIL’s lidar, hyperspectral, and RGB data to produce high-resolution 3D data and imagery of the beach and shallow water seafloor. Together, CZMIL and HydroFusion produce rapid results for harbors, navigation channels, coastal infrastructure, submerged hazards, and bottom morphology.
Attendees can learn more about how ALTM Galaxy, CZMIL, HydroFusion, and all of Optech’s terrestrial, airborne and mobile lidar and camera sensors can assist with security, safety and disaster response by visiting Optech at the Canadian Pavilion in booth 2B30.
