It’s now been a little over a week since Geo Week 2023 came to a close, but the buzz continues from those who attended the three-day event in Denver, Colorado. This year’s conference featured record attendance, a packed exhibit floor, a wide-ranging list of speakers and panel sessions both on the exhibitor floor and in separate rooms, product previews from some of the top companies in the industries, an awards ceremony, the annual Pitch the Press event, and two keynote addresses including a panel discussion about the state of the construction industry’s path to digitalization as well as an hour-long talk from Esri founder and CEO Jack Dangermond.
In addition to the informative speaking sessions, the big highlight of the week at the Colorado Convention Center was the amount of networking and education that was happening among attendees. Fully embracing the growing intersection between the geospatial industry and the built world, the buzz was undeniable among those coming together and taking in the show. That was as apparent anywhere as on social media, where the conversation was going all week, and has continued following the show.
