OKLAHOMA CITY – Cobb Engineering Company (CEC), a full-service civil engineering firm, announced this week it has invested in two lidar systems from Optech: an Optech Lynx M1 Mobile Mapper and an Optech ILRIS terrestrial scanner.
“We were looking at initiatives to better serve our current clients and industry utilizing the latest technology,” said CEC president and owner Marty Hepp, in a statement. “Investing in lidar technology enables us to meet the various project scopes by safer, more efficient means while enhancing the amount of information compared to traditional surveying practices … The relationship that has been fostered between Cobb Engineering Company and Optech left us with no uncertainty that Optech was the best provider of the solutions we desired.”
CEC took delivery of both systems in January and has already successfully completed several surveys, according to a press release.
