Leica and Boston Dynamics unveil certified reality capture for Spot

For years now, laser scanners have been attached to UAVs to capture data from above in difficult environments. In the meantime, ground robots have become more established and partnerships have been developed to make these more commonplace on job sites. Recently, it was announced that Leica Geosystems’ BLK ARC was named the first officially certified reality capture device for Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot. This is the continuation of an established partnership and continues to push the industry forward with respect to ground-based robotics.
